Are there fees for our Services?

Yes.  Please contact us to discuss our rates.  Payment is due when services are rendered.  Payment types accepted are cash, cheque or credit card.  Receipts will be provided at the end of each session.  This is a private service and not covered by OHIP.

Will my insurance cover these Services?

Counselling services are covered by many extended health plans.  Please check with your insurance company with respect to your coverage.

What about Confidentiality?

Confidentiality is an important part of the therapeutic relationship.  Information can only be released to other parties with a signed consent form by the client.  Exceptions include when a client is a danger to themselves or others, or when there are concerns about risks to a child under the age of sixteen.

What if I need to change or cancel an appointment?

Appointments need to be canceled at least 24 hours in advance or a fee may incur.

Do you offer Remote Counselling?

Yes, York Counselling Services offers Remote Counselling by telephone or on computer.  Simply contact us to arrange a convenient time.
